Our story

Get Hunted was established in Stockholm in 2009, sparked by a vision to make executive search-quality candidates accessible to all companies, without the necessity of investing in a full, expensive executive search process. Our solution was to focus on the “candidate sourcing” aspect, allowing our clients to take over the selection process at an earlier stage than traditional.

This innovative approach proved successful. Since our founding, we have completed over 2000 search assignments on an international scale. Today Get Hunted stands as a trusted recruitment partner for CEOs, HR/Talent Acquisition departments and Executive Search Consultants across a vast spectrum of industries and regions.

Self awareness

After conducting more than 15,000 interviews, we’ve honed our skills in recognizing different personalities and assessing their sincerity. When building new relationships and connections, our top priorities are honesty and self-awareness, which we expect equally from candidates, clients, and ourselves.


First you give to the network. Then you get something in return. Generosity is our guiding star, and after 15 years in business we attribute our stability and sustained growth to this very principle. Networking is a marathon, not a sprint – and we are in it for the long run.

Anchor or sail

There’s a time for everything, and development does not necessarily mean a step up on the corporate ladder. Sometimes you need to drop anchor, sometimes you need new wind in your sails. We are genuinely interested in helping you find your way forward, whatever it might be.

Meet our founder

Get Hunted was founded by Ida Brynildsen, a true Scandinavian; she was born in Norway and has lived in Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Today, she divides her time between Gothenburg in Sweden and Alicante, Spain.

After completing her Cand.mag at Oslo University and gaining experience in HR-related positions, she began her recruitment career in 2005 where she worked for international Executive Search companies as well as Scandinavian boutique search firms. Coming from an entrepreneurial family and possessing a strong passion for developing best-in-class processes for candidate sourcing and recruitment, establishing her own independent search firm was a natural development.

In her spare time she is developing an AI-based search tool together with IT-students and an IT-company based in California, and in 2023 she co-founded Awayke, a recruitment agency based in Spain.

“When I was a child, I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to become a detective, a journalist, or a psychologist when I grew up. So, I opted for a mix of the three and became
– a headhunter.”

Awayke is Get Hunted’s Spanish-based sister company that operates with similar tools and processes as Get Hunted, but which focuses mainly on recruitment of specialists and mid-managers. Awayke recruits internationally, and has offices in several European countries.


dKomplex is our IT-partner in California. CEO Justin Loza and his team has custom built our CRM, and in collaboration with students from California State University in Monterey we are developing an AI-based search tool together, unique to executive search.


Gary is an international business lawyer and business developer from Los Angeles who resides in Stockholm. For 20+ years, he has been advising American and European technology companies of all types on global scaling, U.S. market entry, and deal orchestration. Gary collaborates with us on key projects.


On the beautiful beach of El Campello, Spain, you’ll find Hotel Joven – a little gem of a hotel, with Xarxa as the hotel restaurant. Stunning views, fantastic kitchen, and a chill but professional vibe makes this is as perfect for a business meeting as for a date night or dinner with friends – and also the natural home for our Xarxa Business Club.
