Key Account Manager – Germany

It is our pleasure to announce that we are seeking out well qualified candidates for the role of Key Account Manager at an industry-leading, retail technology company.

Our Client is the worldwide leader in smart electronic price labels and pricing automation, with more than 50% of the worldwide market, and worldwide presence.

In order to maintain its leadership of and advance in the market, our client has decided to reinforce its German Sales teams to support its strong growth and transformation projects. As such our client is recruiting for a Key Account Manager for the German market. The position will report directly to the German Country Manager.

This position offers a great opportunity for an ambitious and technically interested salesperson to work with state-of-the-art technology, and to build relations with exciting clients in the retail industry across Germany.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop business in German Area by identifying potential customers in direct and indirect sales (technical partners) around our digital solutions (hardware, software and value added services)
  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers by working closely with them on upsell/cross sell of our client’s products
  • Business Development to turn individual stores with frame agreement into customers
  • Ensure a close follow-up of clients once the sale is completed in collaboration with internal departments (Sales administration, etc.)
  • Maintaining good relationship with local decision-makers and lobbying
  • Update regularly the CRM tools with opportunities and manage customer and
  • prospect base
  • Frequent travel is required in Germany

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have/are:

  • A successful experience (5-10 years) in sales of technical digital product (ideally in hardware, software and services) and you are extremely result oriented
  • You are familiar with the retail sector and have excellent relations skills ranging from store level to company C-level. Moreover, you have a strong ability to
  • identify solution value for the individual customers and transforming this into additional sales
  • English: Fluent
